The small island Koh Tao is situated in the Gulf of Thailand north of Koh Samui and Koh Phangan. The villas is situated less than 100m from the coast with steep roads, on the southern end of the island on a cape 50 meters above the sea between two beautiful beaches, Tian Og and Sai Daeng, which are 7-15 min walk away. Away from it all, still only a 10 min drive down to the villages Chalok, Mae Haad and Sairee where shops, restaurants, bars and nightlife is to be found.
The island has mostly concrete roads but there are still some dirt roads left. To get around you will need to rent a motorbike or use a taxi, there are no cars for rent on the island. You should be an experienced driver if you consider renting a motorbike since many roads have steep hills. It´s well worth to discover the island this way since it´s fun and you will see a lot of nature and beautiful view points before you arrive to one of the island´s secluded beaches. Another way to visit the different beaches is to take a longtail boat around the island. You can choose where to make beach or snorkeling stops and have a fantastic lunch at a small beach restaurant.
